SO MUCH TO GET DONE before I leave town.
Thankfully, not too busy for tea and conversation with friends Michael and Sally.
Some of what we talked about: scripture as revelation or as revealed/hidden wisdom to be rediscovered and reclaimed, different types of knowledge, ways to engage with text, world peace, nuclear disarmament, what "be a light unto the nations" means, convening Talmudic academy-like conferences to contemplate one big question, whether I will go to Mecca in this life.....things like that.
And delicious home-made scones.
